Writer. Photographer. Brand Strategist.
I'm Meg Furey — a copywriter, photographer, and brand strategist based in Austin, Texas.
Things I’m currently inspired by: The late-afternoon light. The particular quiet of a museum on a Tuesday. The sticky chaos of a shared sundae. Summertime.
I'm as drawn to faded small towns and flea market Americana as I am to design-forward spaces and world-class museums. Lately, I've been drawn to photographing people as a way of staying tethered to what binds us — our shared humanity. I'm always chasing an honesty about myself or my subject. I believe there is truth just beneath the surface, underneath an expression or a space. I'm endlessly inspired by my two kids, who are my muses and my co-conspirators. They bring guilessness, whimsy, and motion into every frame.
My photography has been featured in Texas Monthly and exhibited at the Houston Center for Photography, Women and Their Work Gallery, Wheatsville Gallery, Austin Studio Tour, and more.
I’m always open to chatting about opportunities. Drop me a line.
