I'm as drawn to faded small towns and flea market Americana as I am to design-forward spaces and world-class museums. Lately, I've been drawn to photographing people as a way of staying tethered to what binds us — our shared humanity. What I'm always chasing is a certain honesty about myself or my subject. The truth just beneath the surface, underneath an expression or a space.
My photography has been exhibited at the Houston Center for Photography and the Austin Studio Tour. I'm endlessly inspired by my two kids, who are my muses and my co-conspirators. They bring honesty, whimsy, and motion into every frame.
